I have been a busy fiber artist these last couple of weeks and need to catch everyone up to speed on the American Craft Council show coming up this month. I have completed my samples for the wholesale show and wanted to post all of them for everyone. Along with the samples, I am making extras to sell at the retail show...and I have lots more to put together before I leave on the 19th. I tried to have a lot assortment to choose from, and I have some more ideas I will toy with this spring. I have been playing with color combinations too....not everyone like bright colors, so I tried to tone down the colors a tad. Also, I added the meanings to each piece, for the non-Southerns in the reading audience. :)

(meaning: Don't jump to conclusions)

"Love Many, Trust Few, Always Paddle Your Own Canoe" 2005
(meaning: You can love a lot of people, but only trust few people, so take care of yourself.)

"Sitten is Cheaper Than Standin, so Sit Down Before You Fall Down" 2005
(meaning: Laziness or a threat to knock someone's head off.)

"Settle The Coffee, Talk to The Table and Let's Eat" 2005
(meaning: To settle the coffee is to put egg shells in the coffee grounds and talking to the table is saying the blessing over the food.)
"Always Keep your Hook Baited and Ready to Fish" 2005
(meaning: Always be prepared for the unexpected)

"Pretty-by-nights and Love Lies a Bleeding" 2005
(meaning: These are names of flowers found in the South.)

"God Gave Nuts To Them With No Teeth" 2005
